Bad news for Kenny McKinley, who will miss Saturday’s Senior Bowl with a hamstring injury, according to the Mobile Press-Register.
That’s a bum deal for McKinley, who is the type of prospect who really could have improved his draft stock with a good week in Mobile. It sounds like McKinley was ruled out after Wednesday’s practice, so maybe he had a chance to do some things in drills early in the week.
Don’t know if it’s the same hammy that caused McKinley to miss several weeks in September. But hopefully McKinley can get his leg healed and perform well at the combine and/or USC’s pro day in March.
McKinley finished his Gamecocks’ career as the school’s all-time leading receiver. But he doesn’t have a big frame or ridiculous speed.

All he does is catch everything thrown at him. Hopefully, he gets a chance to show scouts that in person.
