Postgame: USC women vs. Vanderbilt

KEY MOMENT: The Gamecocks pulled within 22-18 on the heels of a 12-2 run after a right knee injury to leading scorer Brionna Dickerson, but Jennifer Risper scored nine consecutive points to push the cushion back to 13 with 4:19 remaining in the half. USC would not get any closer than six points the rest of the way.

STAR OF THE GAME: Merideth Marsh scored eight of her team-high 15 points in the second half. She had an answer every time USC made a run. Marsh had two assists and three steals with only one turnover from her point guard spot.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: If Dickerson is out for any extended period of time, the Gamecocks will be down to nine players and one senior in C.J. Pace. They lost second leading scorer Demetress Adams to a knee injury in their last game at Mississippi and are left without a player over 6-1. USC will count on freshmen and sophomores to carry the bulk of the minutes.

INJURIES: Dickerson left the game at the 10:08 mark of the first half with an injured right knee and did not return. She was scheduled to have an MRI later Sunday night.
