DB Daunte Carr (6-2 195) of Buford, GA is expected to be one of the top players in the Peach State this season. The big free safety had 73 tackles and three interceptions last season. He also had 12 tackles for loss and force four fumbles. He also plays receiver.
Carr has been offered by USC, Stanford, South Florida and Central Florida, and he's drawing hard looks from Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Miami and Wake Forest.
Carr attended Georgia Tech's junior day and plans to attend USC's and several others. "Everybody is on an even playing field," he said. "I want to tour the schools and see what it's like, the living environment, see if I'm comfortable with the coaches."
Carr says he will graduate in December and he plans to make a college decision this summer.
