Speedy WR Tehvyn Brantley (5-10 170) of Mt. Zion Academy in Durham, NC will be back at that school for another season after being granted an additional year of eligibility. Brantley, who says he's now a qualifier on the SAT, will again play quarterback but he's being recruited for receiver. He will graduate in December.
Clemson has been sending a lot of mail and has invited him to camp, and he's also hearing from USC. Brantley said former Tiger Brentson Buckner, who was one of his coaches when he played for Victory Christian Academy in Charlotte, is pushing him to the Tigers. He's also heard from USC assistants Shane Beamer and Steve Spurrier Jr.
Brantley also is drawing interest from Cal, Michigan State and Oregon State. He will attend the Football University Camp at Southern Cal this weekend.
