ATH Barry Bostic (5-10 163) of Louisville, GA is starting to attract more interest from South Carolina schools. He already has offers from Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Maryland, UConn, West Virginia, Central Florida, Mississippi State, and UCLA. Bostic says he has spoken with both USC and Clemson recently.
"I was at a track meet and my coach was on the phone with Coach (Billy) Napier," he said. "Napier asked to speak to me and told me he really liked my sophomore film. He said he wants to see my junior film too. He said he is interested in me and looking forward to recruiting me."
Bostic said USC assistant coach Eric Wolford came by his school this past Monday. "He told me he has heard a lot about me and also liked my film," said Bostic. "He wants me to come up for a day camp this summer. My coach was ribbing him about how long it took for them (USC) to get on me since they're the closest school around."
Bostic visited Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt for their junior days and enjoyed both. "They offered me when I was at Vanderbilt. That was really nice. I liked their academics too," said Bostic. His cousin is part of Tech's 2009 class.
They were originally his favorite but he wants to look at other schools that are offering. He plans to visit USC, North Carolina, and Florida over the summer.
As a junior, Bostic threw for 1333 yards and 10 touchdowns and ran for 1317 yards and 13 tds. He also caught two balls with one being for a score. He says he does not have any favorites. "I'm starting to get a lot of attention and it's pretty amazing," he said. "I want to pay attention to every school that is recruiting me right now."
