DB Keion Payne (6-1 165) of Miami, FL says he recently received an offer from USC, to his surprise. "Yeah, the offer came in the mail," he said. "I haven't even heard from them yet. I'm really excited. I'm looking forward to talking to them tomorrow because I've got a lot of questions."
Payne has offers from FSU, Ole Miss, Purdue, Wake Forest, and Oregon already. He is hearing from Florida, Georgia , Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee, Alabama and West Virginia among others.
Payne went to junior day at Georgia and has taken unofficial visits to Ohio State, FSU, Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama.
He says he now wants to visit USC. "When I talk to them tomorrow, I'm going to see if they'll set me up to camp there this summer. I want to check out what they have to offer." Payne admitted he was not too familiar with the school. "I don't know too much about them but I do know all about their coach (Steve Spurrier). He'll make you a better player and a better person," said Payne.
He had 36 tackles, four interceptions, a sack and a fumble recovery as a junior. Payne is considering all schools that offer him and does not have any favorites.
