Gamecocks Evaluating Low Country Prospect

6-8 RJ Slawson of Fort Dorchester has offers from SC State and The College of Charleston and is getting solid interest from several others. Slawson said USC and Clemson have been in touch and are talking about offering him.

USC head coach Darrin Horn has been to the school to work him out as have Charleston coach Bobby Cremins and coaches from Temple and Texas A&M. Slawson also is getting interest from Wichita State, Wofford, Virginia Tech, Radford and Winthrop. He has not visited anywhere but plans to take several visits this summer.

Slawson, who has three point shooting range, averaged 19 points and 9 rebounds per game last season.
