USC offensive line coach Eric Wolford has been down to Valdosta, GA to took at OL Jordan Black (6-4 240) of Lowndes County. Black has been a tight end but says he'll play more offensive tackle and defensive tackle this season. And he said the Gamecocks are interested in him as an offensive tackle.
He said Wolford was by to watch a spring practice earlier this week. "He watched some film with us," Black said. "He wants to get me up there to evaluate me in camp. He wants to get me up there to do the stuff that they do."
Florida State recruiter Jimbo Fisher was by for two of Black's spring practices and seems interested as well. A recruiter from Louisville also has been in. Black has an offer from Florida International. He's also hearing from Tennessee, Georgia, UAB, Georgia Southern and Auburn.
He will camp at USC the first week in June. He also plans to camp at Tennessee, Georgia, Florida International, Florida State and Auburn.
He said his favorites are USC, Georgia and Tennessee.
