DB Sharrod Golightly (5-11 175) of Decatur, GA says USC is a school he is seriously looking into. "They put a lot of defensive backs into the league (NFL)," he said. "You cannot ignore that."
USC, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Alabama-Birmingham, Tennessee, and New Mexico are his current offers with Georgia, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, and Indiana also showing interest. Golightly visited Georgia and Ole Miss for their junior days and said that Ole Miss stood out a little more. "They have a home environment that I'm looking for," said Golightly. "And Houston Nutt is a really cool guy."
He says that feeling at home and a good education are two things he is looking for in a school. Golightly plans to visit USC this summer. "I definitely want to try to take an unofficial there (USC) this summer," he said.
As a junior, Golightly had 89 tackles and two interceptions returning one for a touchdown. He did not name any favorites.
