Jersey Lineman Interested In Gamecocks

OL Danny Foose (6-6 310) of Paramus, NJ says it would be an honor to play for Coach Steve Spurrier. "He's a great coach and has been for a long time," he said. "It would be an honor to play for him."

Foose says that USC told him they are looking to take five to six offensive linemen in this class. "They told me they are set at the skill positions," he said. "They said they just need to get some guys in to play on the line. That's pretty exciting for a Jersey boy like me."

Foose has offers from USC, Rutgers, BC, Louisville, South Florida, Minnesota, Illinois, Akron, and Stanford. He says he is also hearing from Penn State, North Carolina, Pitt, and Florida.

Foose took four junior day visits to Rutgers, BC, Penn St, and Maryland. "Rutgers and BC really stood out to me," said Foose. "Rutgers is in my home state and has a family atmosphere that is comfortable. BC has a great tradition and outstanding academics."

Foose says he will try to visit as many schools as possible that have shown interest in him this summer. He did not name any favorites.
