Trent Whitehead and Devin Harris also went deep for top-seeded East Carolina (43-17), which led 11-2 after four innings. The team will next face No. 2 seed South Carolina.
Joe Charron homered twice and drove in four runs for the fourth-seeded Bearcats (29-21). They outhit the Pirates 13-10 but slipped into an elimination game later Saturday against George Mason.
The game was postponed Friday night because thunderstorms dumped heavy rains in Greenville. East Carolina is hosting the first regional in its four-year-old ballpark.
