USC's admissions committee is to take up the issue of Darrell Givens Monday. The former Penn State signee is considering USC after being denied admission to Penn State.
A well placed source said it's basically a 50-50 deal between USC and North Carolina for Givens, assuming he is accepted by USC. The source said USC may have to be move quickly to be in a position to land Givens. Givens is supposed to visit North Carolina Monday according to the Tar Heels' Scout.com site. Also, a member of North Carolina's football administrative staff is one of Givens's former high school coaches.
Both USC and North Carolina were among the schools Givens considered when he signed with Penn State last February.
