One of the reasons OL Robert Crisp (6-7 302) of Chapel Hill, NC committed to NC State in April was the offer the Wolfpack made to is close friend, DB Pete Singer. But Singer's offer might be in jeopardy following his arrest June 16th on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a handgun by a minor, and simple possession of marijuana. All the charges are misdemeanors. Singer also is charged with driving after consuming alcohol under age and possessing an open container of beer.
Singer's father, who is also Crisp's legal guardian, said both players remain committed to State. But Crisp has had conversations with USC offensive line coach Eric Wolford and is possibly considering the Gamecocks and others again.
Crisp and Singer played for Chapel Hill High last season but are transferring to Cedar Ridge High in Hillsborough for this season.
