DL Ego Ferguson Jr. (6-3 269) of Hargrave Prep JC, VA has eliminated four more schools from his list leaving him 10, and he will cut that list in half shortly after taking the SAT on October 10th. Ferguson is down to USC, North Carolina, Miami, Florida State, Notre Dame, Maryland, UCLA, LSU, Oklahoma and Cal.
Ferguson will take official visits to Oklahoma November 14th and to Notre Dame November 21st. He also will visit LSU in November. "After these three visits, all ten finalists will have been visited," said Ferguson's father. "He's been to South Carolina and North Carolina four times. He's been to Maryland several times. Miami is our hometown. He's been to Florida State. This gives him the chance to truly evaluate everyone on an equal plane."
Ferguson Jr,, according his father, is growing tired of the recruiting process and is anxious to make a decision. "I had to stop him from making a commitment last week," Ferguson Sr. said. "I knew he wasn't going to make an educated decision right then."
USC recruiter Jay Graham is staying in regular contact with the Fergusons. Senior said he talks to Graham at least twice a week. And he said his son, who's not supposed to receive or make calls to recruiters while at Hargave, sneaked out a call to Graham last weekend. But, Senior insists there is no favorite. "He's open," he said. "He'll take his SAT October 10th and after that we'll get down to five."
