DE Adrian Hubbard (6-7 227) of Norcross, GA is seeing his football recruiting stock rise now that he's decided to make his future in that sport and not basketball.
Hubbard didn't play football as a junior concentrating on hoops, so he was behind the curve when it came to football recruiting attention. That's changing now as tapes have gone out and recruiters are starting to show up at games. "I'm just starting to get interest from schools," Hubbard said.
Right now he likes Clemson, USC, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, LSU and Georgia. Only Kentucky, from that group, has offered.
Hubbard has been to two games at Clemson and plans to be at USC's game with Vanderbilt Saturday. "I've been talking with (Clemson recruiter) coach Pearman and he has high interest in me," Hubbard said. I've also talked to coach Rumph. (USC recruiter) Coach Beamer likes my body and frame and speed. He likes my natural ability."
Hubbard said he's waiting for more offers to come in before he sets official visits. His other offers are Tennessee State, Jacksonville State and Georgia State.
