It's been a good weekend for DE Adrian Hubbard (6-7 227) of Norcross, GA. He landed offers from USC and Clemson.
He made an unofficial visit to USC Saturday for the Vanderbilt game with his father and a friend and picked up an offer in person from defensive line coach Brad Lawing. "I wasn't expecting an offer, not even in the least," Hubbard said. "I was surprised. Coach Lawing said he liked my size and skills and frame."
Hubbard enjoyed his visit to USC which included a meeting with Steve Spurrier in his office. "He's down to earth, kind of cool," Hubbard said. "The atmosphere was good and the coaches were nice. And I met some of the players."
Sunday night Clemson recruiter Billy Napier called and made an offer to Hubbard who has been to Clemson twice for games this season.
He's also picked up a recent offer from NC State. Kentucky is his other big time offer. "There's no favorite," Hubbard said. "I'm just soaking it all in."
Hubbard plans to make an unofficial visit to Auburn this Saturday. He will not schedule official visits until after the season and will set them up with USC, Clemson and Kentucky.
