WR Marquel Wade (5-11 180) of Jacksonville, FL has narrowed his list to two. It is between USC and Arkansas. Wade takes his first official to Arkansas this weekend. "I like both of these schools because they talk to me the most," said Wade. "Both schools are telling me I could start as a freshman."
Wade eliminated Georgia and South Florida from his final schools. "Georgia could get back in it with me but I'm not going to wait on an offer," he said. "If they offer, I'll consider them again." He will be in Columbia for an official visit to USC on November 13. "I've been to Columbia for a basketball camp," he said. "It's really nice. It's got a lot of hills."
Wade says he likes what he has seen from USC this season. "They're a young team and they play like they have something to prove," said Wade. "You can tell they're going to be really good in the future." He also likes Steve Spurrier. "He will get the ball to his playmakers," he commented. "I want to be a playmaker."
Wade has 40 receptions for 331 yards and seven touchdowns this season. He also has returned eight punts for over 400 yards and four more tds. He did not name a leader between the two schools.
