WR Atuawn Blue (6-0 185) of Dillon likes both USC and Clemson. "I've been to a couple of South Carolina games this year," said Blue. "I really like their defense and their atmosphere." Blue, who plays wide receiver in high school, says the Gamecocks are looking at him on the defensive side of the ball. "They want me to play cornerback," he said. "I don't mind."
He is heading to Clemson this weekend for the FSU game. "They're talking to me about playing wide receiver and special teams," said Blue. "I prefer offense."
Blue has not received his first offer but says USC, Clemson, and Coastal Carolina are the three schools showing the most interest. "I think South Carolina will offer me first," he said. "I like Coastal, but I want to visit them to get a better idea of what it's like."
This season, Blue has 492 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He was recently named to the Shrine Bowl. "I'm really excited," said Blue. "We're going to win that game." He did not name a favorite.
