Recruiting is the last thing on the mind of DL Sharrif Floyd (6-3 311) of Philadelphia right now. This Saturday his Washington High School team will play for the city championship. With a win, Floyd's team will then advance to the state semi-semi finals.
So, he's put little thought into the recruiting process according to his adviser Andre Odom. "There's nothing new," Odom said. "He hasn't given recruiting any more consideration."
Floyd has taken official visits to Florida, Southern Cal and Ohio State, and he's been to Penn State unofficially. He is scheduled for an official visit to North Carolina December 11th but that date is not locked down due to his playoff schedule.
USC also remains invovled and recruiter GA Mangus is in regular contact. He's expected to visit Floyd in early December once the visitation period begins. Floyd is expected to set an official visit with the Gamecocks at some point.
