DE Gerald Dixon (6-3 245) of South Pointe will attend USC's junior day Saturday along with his brother Northwestern DL Gerald Dixon Jr. Both have been offered by the Gamecocks and they want to play at the same school. They are both favoring USC.
Dixon also has offers from North Carolina, Michigan and Michigan State. The Dixon brothers are the sons of former USC and NFL linebacker Gerald Dixon who is an assistant coach at Rock Hill.
"He's got football in his blood," South Pointe coach Bobby Carroll said of his Dixon. "Friday nights, when they cut the lights on, he gets after it. He's real strong. He played defensive tackle last year but will be a defensive end this year. He has good speed, quickness and strength. He can drop into coverage when you need him. And he calls our defenses."
Dixon said while he and his brother like USC, they are not planning to commit anytime soon.
