USC Makes Offer To Hometown Running Back

RB Brandon Wilds (6-1 220) of Blythewood attended USC's junior day last Saturday and went home with an offer from the Gamecocks.

"South Carolina is my first offer, so I respect them a lot for that," said Wilds. "I've been to a lot of USC games and I like the atmosphere."

Wilds said he's been talking a lot with Gamecock running backs coach Jay Graham. He's also getting interest from Clemson, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Florida, Nebraska and Alabama.

But North Carolina is the school he really likes and he will go there for a junior day March 27th. He's not going there on an invitation, but he's hoping the Tar Heel coaches take notice of him. "I'm not getting that much attention from North Carolina," he said, "but I would love to go there if I get the opportunity to."

Wilds rushed for 1500 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. He has good speed for his size. He can run with power but is also elusive.
