Gamecocks in second after two rounds at Seahawk

At Wilmington, N.C., led by an even-par day from sophomore Wesley Bryan, the USC men's golf team stands in second place through 36 holes of play at the Seahawk Intercollegiate. The Gamecocks shot 12-over 588 as a team during Monday's first two rounds at the Country Club of Landfall's Dye Course.

Bryan had rounds of 73 and 71 to lead South Carolina on the first day and finds himself in a tie for sixth place heading into today's final round.

USC in ninth at suspended Kinderlou Challenge

At Valdosta, Ga., the USC women's golf team is in a tie for ninth midway through the second round at the Kinderlou Challenge, which was suspended by darkness late Monday. The Gamecocks shot 12-over 304 in the first round and were at 9-over par in their second round when play was halted at the par-73 Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.

Sophomore Katie Burnett led the way in the first round with a 2-over-par 75.
