QB Vad Lee (6-3 210) of Durham picked up his latest offer from Wake Forest just a little while ago. "I was on the phone with them when you called," he told me. "They were offering me a scholarship. I'm really excited because they are just down the road from me about an hour and a half away. They also run the same offense I do."
Lee says Wake immediately becomes a factor with him. His other offers are from USC, Duke, North Carolina, Maryland, NC State, Georgia Tech, and East Carolina.
On Friday, USC visited with him at his high school. "I talked to them on Friday and they were telling me about how I would fit into their program," said Lee. "I love the SEC and they have one of the best coaches in college football," he said of his interest level in the Gamecocks.
He also likes Clemson who was in on Monday. "I am just getting to know them," he said. "I love their winning tradition and the way they run down the hill. That's pretty awesome." Lee says he will try to visit both schools this summer and that both are in close proximity to his hometown making them viable candidates for his services.
He does not have any favorites.
