DB Geraldo Orta (6-0 180) of Valdosta, GA, who de-committed from Clemson this week, will include USC among the schools he will re-evaluate to compare with Clemson.
"I didn't want to de-commit but I realized choosing a college is going to be the most important decision of my life," Orta said. "I just want to weight out my options and make sure Clemson is the best school for me right now. I want Clemson to always be my first school, and for my second I want Tennessee. And I want South Carolina, Louisville, Wake Forest or Maryland."
Orta said he called USC recruiter Jeep Hunter about two weeks ago to touch base with him. He plans to take all five of his official visits with Clemson, Tennessee, USC and Maryland to be four of them.
He has been to Mississippi State and South Florida for camps and has no other camps or visits planned.
Orta said Clemson is still out front with him but he's going to wait until Signing Day on a decision.
