The libertarian-leaning Club for Growth is running an ad critical of U.S. Rep. John Spratt, another example of third-party money coming to S.C. to influence congressional races. The Club did not specify the cost of its ad buy, but said the ad will air in television markets throughout the Rock Hill-based 5th Congressional District.
The 30-second spot, titled “Enough,” focuses on Spratt’s position as House Budget Committee chairman and “exposes (his) long-standing record of spending, deficits and debt,” the group said in a release announcing the ad.
“For three decades, Congressman Spratt’s liberal record has bloated government and driven America deeper into debt,” said Club President Chris Chocola. “Taxpayers cannot afford Spratt-style liberalism anymore.”
