Republican Rose Mary Parham, a candidate for Florence-based 12th Circuit Solicitor, has been endorsed by U.S. Sens. Jim DeMint and Lindsey Graham, according to the Parnham campaign.
Parham is facing Democrat Ed Clements in the race for the top prosecutor's job in Florence and Marion counties.
"As a former federal prosecutor, Rose Mary Parham has made the Pee Dee a much safer place by putting away serious violent criminals," Graham said. "Rose Mary's 15 years of experience and her 98 percent conviction rate are what we need from our next solicitor in the Pee Dee. She has successfully prosecuted murderers, drug dealers, gang members, sex offenders and other violent criminals. Rose Mary has my full support, and I would encourage voters in the Pee Dee to elect Rose Mary as your next solicitor."

"The wave of change and accountability for elected officials has changed the landscape for elected officials across our country. Voters are looking at candidates’ records, not just listening to campaign rhetoric," said DeMint. "Rose Mary Parham has a proven track record for putting criminals behind bars and is clearly the best candidate for solicitor. I support Rose Mary and I ask the people of the Pee Dee to do the same."
