We've added 288 records of health inspections for restaurants, bars, cafeterias and other eateries in Kershaw, Lexington and Richland counties.
The inspections were carried out between Nov. 5 and Dec. 17 by Department of Health and Environmental Control inspectors.
Twenty-two area establishments in that period earned exceptional scores between 98 and 100 on unannounced, routine inspections.
Nineteen locations received B-level scores between 78 and 86 on their routine inspections and seven earned Cs with scores between 66 and 76. All those establishments had or will have the opportunity to improve marks with follow-up inspections. The lowest follow-up score in this period was 82, for the Waffle House #760 on Stoneridge Drive in Columbia, inspected on Nov. 19. Eateries with scores of 88 or higher on routine or follow-up inspections may post an "A" in public view.
