Lexington County narcotics officers discovered a mobile methamphetamine lab inside a stolen pickup truck near Lexington on Monday.
Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team members arrested Keith Wayne Kirkland, 26, of 3105 Bachman Road Gaston, and charged him with possessing a stolen motor vehicle and manufacturing methamphetamine, second offense. Officers said they found a small meth lab in the back seat of a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck parked outside of a camper in the 500 block of Peachtree Rock Road. He was arrested without incident, officers said.
The truck was reported stolen from a fenced-in business in West Columbia on Sunday. West Columbia police reportedly saw Kirkland driving the truck in West Columbia on Monday shortly before he was arrested. The meth lab was found behind the driver’s seat of the truck.
