With the aftershock of 9-11 still in the air around the country, the Gamecocks and Mississippi State Bulldogs return to action in a Thursday night, ESPN contest in Starkville.
With all of the previous Saturday’s games postponed or cancelled, this would be the first post-911 game.
The 18th-ranked Gamecocks defeated the 17th-ranked Bulldogs by a score of 16-14. Most importantly, the game was played without incidents.
