Though South Carolina came away with the 21-7 victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, they were unable to put points on the board in the first quarter.
This was the first time the Gamecocks failed to score in the first quarter of a regular season game since Halloween day, 2009 against the Tennessee Volunteers.
It was the first time USC did not score in the first quarter of a win since hosting Vanderbilt last year.
