The Gamecocks play three of the nation's 27 teams with the least Division I experience over the next eight days: Radford tonight, USC Upstate on Tuesday and Western Kentucky on Nov. 27.
The folks at Kentucky compiled a list of basketball teams whose rosters contain players with 10 or fewer combined years of Division I experience.
The Wildcats have a good reason for putting together such a list. Kentucky lost nine lettermen from last season's Elite Eight team, including five first-round draft picks.
USC, which added six freshmen this season, has 11 years of combined Division I experience on its roster.

The Gamecocks would have made Kentucky's list if the two years Murphy Holloway played at Mississippi were not included. The forward from Irmo will not play for the Gamecocks this season while sitting out the year after his transfer.
