Earlier this year in the Nike Cup Invitational, South Carolina swimmer Amanda Rutqvist shattered the old school record in the 200 Breaststroke.
Rutqvist bested the old mark, set by Tricia Rye in 2001, by almost 3 seconds.
For comparison, if Rutqvist and Rye each swam at constant speeds to achieve their respective times, Rye would be almost 13 feet from the wall when Rutqvist finished.
|Amanda Rutqvist||0h 2m 10s|
|Tricia Rye||0h 2m 13s|
