ETV has ended the weekday radio program “Your Day.”
No more Dr. Ann. No more “Conversations about Birds” with Patrick McMillan and Dr. Drew Lanham. No more noontime discussions about pets, plants, wildlife or computers.
For newcomers and natives alike, the hourlong program was a useful bag of local advice, featuring a rotation of SC experts who also took viewers’ calls. Other segments, introduced in a soothing voice by host Dyana Daniels, also took listeners to chefs’ kitchens, archeological digs and other places unique to the state.
It aired at noon on ETV radio stations throughout the state. The last program was on Thursday, Nov. 13. Cathy Sams, Chief Public Affairs Officer for Clemson University, which produced the program with ETV radio, said other programming will be developed.
In a news release, Shari Hutchinson of ETV Radio and Television stated: “We’ve been grateful for a wonderful run but the time has come to move on to other projects. We look forward to future collaborations with Clemson.”
“Walter Edgar’s Journal” will continue to air at noon Friday. The rest of the week, the classical stations will air “Classical Music from ETV Radio” while the news stations will feature the syndicated NPR program “Here and Now.”
The local programming short segments such as “Earth Sense” and “Making It Grow” will continue, moving to different airing times of the day, the station announced Sunday on its Facebook page.
