Mac's On Main is proud to be serving Harlem Brewing Company's Sugar Hill Golden Ale. Harlem Brewing was begun by Celeste Beatty in her Harlem apartment after a friend gave her a beer kit as a gift. Beatty took her love of cooking and began experimenting with different ingredients and flavors. She has since become a brewmaster and marketer, growing a national brand. The Sugar Hill Golden Ale is described by Chef Barry Walker as "lighter than the normal stout ale with a smooth finish that goes with just about anything." Pizza! Pizza! Forest Acres now has two new pizza places. The Village Idiot took over the old Paulie's Pizza location at 4517 Forest Drive, and The Pizza Joint has opened in the old Italian Pie spot at 3246 Forest Drive.

Kids eat free at Picadilly's. Children ages 6 and younger eat free every day starting at 4 p.m., with the purchase of an adult entree. Kids ages 12 and younger eat for 99 cents 11a.m.-4 p.m. every Thursday and Saturday. Kid's meals include an entree, two side dishes and a drink. Adult entrees start at $4.99. Dairy Queen's Blizzard of the Month is Pumpkin Pie. Available through October, this flavorful treat is made with Libby's pumpkin pie mix and flaky bits of pie crust blended with the DQ's soft serve vanilla ice cream and topped with whipped topping and a pinch of nutmeg.
