Mac's On Main is proud to be serving Harlem Brewing Company's Sugar Hill Golden Ale. Harlem Brewing was begun by Celeste Beatty in her Harlem apartment after a friend gave her a beer kit as a gift. Beatty took her love of cooking and began experimenting with different ingredients and flavors. She has since become a brewmaster and marketer, growing a national brand. The Sugar Hill Golden Ale is described by Chef Barry Walker as "lighter than the normal stout ale with a smooth finish that goes with just about anything." Open for lunch and dinner, Mac's is at 1710 Main St., (803) 929-0037. Hours: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday; 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday; 11 a.m.-midnight Wednesday and Thursday; 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Friday; 5 p.m.-midnight Saturday.
