Kimberly Owens, Caleb Hendrix marry

Kimberly Owens of West Columbia and Caleb Hendrix of Greenwood were united in marriage at noon July 9 at Lake Lure Inn in Lake Lure, North Carolina. Richard Biega of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Steve Owens and Mickey Owens of West Columbia. She is the granddaughter of Edward Owens and Barbara Owens of Cayce and Artie Cordell and the late Joe Cordell of West Columbia. A graduate of University of South Carolina, she is employed in elementary education.

The groom is the son of Danny Hendrix and Dena Hendrix of Greenwood. He is the grandson of Gregg Bashur and Martha Bashur of Inman and Berns Womack and Joyce Womack of Ware Shoals. A graduate of Clemson University, he is employed in mechanical engineering.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Harpist Valerie Sancik provided music.

Matrons of honor were Stephanie Price of Gilbert and Jennifer Gillis of Columbia. Bridesmaids were Serene Owens of West Columbia, Carsyn Hendrix of Greenwood, Christina Miller of Cayce and Brooke Perry of Lexington. Mikaylin Price of Gilbert was flower girl.

Best men were Brian Adams of Greenville and Scott Baldwin of Central. Groomsmen were Clay Baldwin of Anderson, Cory Nickles of Aiken, Tucker Nelson of Nashville, Tennessee, and Mikael Owens of West Columbia. Jacob Gillis of Columbia was ring bearer.

A reception, also at Lake Lure Inn, followed the ceremony.

After their honeymoon in San Francisco, the couple will reside in Greenwood.
