Thomas G. Faulds, president of the BlueCross BlueShield division — the fundamental insurance arm of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina — is retiring.
Faulds, who first started working for the South Carolina insurer in 1972, was among the architects of the company’s expansion into providing administrative services for the federal government health plans.
Faulds became president of the BlueCross BlueShield division in 1992. He is being replaced by David S. Pankau.
