Cherokee County woos two companies

The Cherokee County Council agreed this week to give two industries tax breaks as incentives for creating about 100 new jobs by March. The names of the companies were not released. One industry will expand by adding equipment and investing $6.5 million to hire about 50 employees. The second project is a manufacturing company that will invest $4 million to $6 million and create 35 to 50 jobs, officials said.
