Lee Catoe has joined the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce as vice president and special assistant to the CEO for community affairs. And Susan Vaughan McPherson is the chamber’s new director of governmental affairs and regionalism. Catoe will focus on small businesses. The former adviser to Gov. Carroll Campbell previously was director of the S.C. Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services. McPherson will a liaison to local governments for business-friendly platforms. McPherson, who previously worked in public relations for International Paper’s Eastover Mill, also will serve as director of the Military Affairs Committee .
