A boil water advisory issued earlier for water customers in a residential area north of I-20 near Fairfield Road in Richland County has been lifted.
The advisory was issued for 200 to 328 Lincolnshire Blvd., the 200 and 300 blocks of Lakeridge Parkway and the 400 block of Clubhouse Road and now includes those living on Kings Down Lane.
Residents in these areas are advised to boil their water vigorously for at least one minute before drinking or cooking.
Also, those near the affected area who have lost water or water pressure are advised to do the same.
In addition, any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be consumed.
The advisory was issued after a 6-inch main break in Columbia.
