Lexington County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Monday evening after he allegedly assaulted his two brothers with a knife, stabbing one, according to sheriff’s department officials.
Maj. John Allard, a department spokesman, said sheriff’s deputies responded to a home along Sherwood Drive, between Calks Ferry and Longs Pond Roads, near Lexington at 5:45 p.m. on reports of the assault.
Allard said the man is accused stabbed the first brother before he turned and attempted to stab his second brother. Charges are currently pending against the man for the assault.
The victim was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for his wound and was released later Monday evening. No other injuries were reported.
Allard said the circumstances of the incident and the motive for the assaults remain under investigation.
