After temperatures in the mid-70s Sunday, a cold front will arrive in the Midlands, bringing highs that will hover in the low 30s mid-week.
An arctic air mass heading south this week will mean temperatures in the Midlands could dip to 18 degrees overnight Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The high Thursday is forecast at 34 degrees, with another low of 20 overnight Thursday.
The good news? No precipitation is expected with this system.
