Power goes out on TV broadcast

Saturday's game was scheduled to be televised by ESPN Classic, but a power outage during the pregame invocation turned the lights out on the broadcast until 2:23 remained in the first half.

The feed was blocked again shortly after and returned for good to begin the second half.

The Mississippi-Vanderbilt game was shown while SCE&G worked on the electrical problems.

A third of Williams-Brice Stadium was without power; the north side was affected most.

It also caused problems for people sitting on the west side of the stadium, where the elevators were out of order, forcing some people sitting in the 200 and 600 levels to miss the beginning of the game.
