Lexington presents preservation awards

Three Lexington businesses are the first recipients of town awards for the preservation of historic buildings.

The awards go to downtown businesses credited with adaptive modernization of their sites.

Recipients are: attorney Bill Walker for his office; restaurateur Randy Lanier for the Magnolia House; and developer Ryan Condon for the Old Mill shopping center. All are on Main Street.

Members of the town Historic Preservation Review Board selected the winners.
