A man living on Irmo Drive called the Lexington County Sheriff's Department around 2:18 p.m. Monday to report he arrived home to find a strange car was left running in his carport and a nearby door was standing open.
After turning off the car and removing the key, the homeowner went inside and found a man and woman standing outside the kitchen.
The homeowner told deputies the pair ran into a bedroom and out a window, the department said.
Sgts. William Galardi and Barry Sowards spotted the suspects near a home on Annondale Court and arrested them, Metts said. They were identified by the Irmo Drive homeowner as the suspects in the break-in.

Brittany Earlene Addison, 26, of Loranger, La., and Jeramie Paul Fabre, 25, of Ponchatoula, La., also are suspects in an earlier break-in Monday on Weed Drive where an X-Box 360 game system, five games, about 50 movies and a wedding band were stolen. Many of those items were found in the car parked at the Irmo Drive home.
Addison and Fabre are charged with two counts each of second-degree burglary. They were being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
