Two men have been charged with armed robbery after they allegedly held a man at gunpoint to steal shoes.
Thomas Antwana Montgomery, 19, was charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit intimidation for threatening a witness, the Richland County Sheriff's Department reported.
Daishaun Pelzer, 18, has been charged with armed robbery.
The two men are accused of pointing a handgun at a man who was selling athletics shoes Feb. 11 along Garner's Ferry Road. The man gave the shoes to the suspects, who ran away, according to the sheriff's department.
Deputies followed a community tip that led to the arrest. They found the shoes at Pelzer's home, and the gun at Montgomery's residence, the sheriff said.
When Montgomery was arrested, he allegedly threatened the victim and demanded that he stay away from court, the sheriff's report said.
