Two men, including a juvenile, were arrested after shots were fired on the 2000 block of College Street in the Five Points neighborhood early Sunday morning.
Multiplie shots were fired, but no one was injured. Columbia police say they arrested a 15-year-old male and Michael Bernard Hickman, 20, on charges of unlawful possession of a pistol.
After police were called, the juvenile tried to flee on foot. Officers caught the juvenile and found a pistol. Hickman, police said, was in his car when he was stopped by officers, who found a pistol.
Columbia police chief C.E. Burke said officers were able to quickly establish a perimeter in responding to the scene, which prevented the suspects from fleeing.
