Richland County authorities have charged 18-year-old Lurenza Denzel Jones with five counts of attempted murder following a drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon in Lower Richland County.
According to a statement from Sheriff Leon Lott, Jones was arrested after officers responded to a call about shots being fired on the 200 block of Gusty Lane.
When officers arrived on scene, they found five unidentified victims who had all been shot in the lower body. None of the injuries were life-threatening, the statement said.
Deputies searched for a truck involved in the shooting and Jones, who was identified as the shooter. The shooting may have stemmed from an argument earlier in the day, the investigators learned. No details were given about Jones' apprehension. He was held overnight at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
