Lexington County law enforcement agents have arrested two Batesburg-Leesville men on charges of operating a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory at a home on Mabus Road.
Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said officers with the Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested William Fox, 34, of 642 Mabus Road, Batesburg-Leesville, on one count of distributing methamphetamine and one count of possessing a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Officers arrested David Wayne Kirkland, 51, of 319 Pine St., Batesburg-Leesville, on two counts of distributing methamphetamine.
Metts said neighbors had complained of drugs in the area.
Fox and Kirkland each were being held Friday at the Lexington County Detention Center, awaiting bond hearings, Metts said.
