Mayor Steve Benjamin has been selected to be one of 13 mayors who serve as trustees to the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
Benjamin and New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu were chosen Friday to join the board as trustees, the city of Columbia announced Tuesday.
“Mayor Benjamin brings a wealth of experience to the conference ...” the organization’s executive director, Tom Cochran, said.
The conference is made up of mayors from cities with populations of at least 30,000.
