The nearly 100-year-old Earlewood Park is set to reopen Saturday, with a new community center and other improvements.
The public is invited to celebrate the reopening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The community center and a new Parks and Recreation building will be open for tours, and there will be children’s activities, vendors, community baseball games, nature walks, and live entertainment at the amphitheater.
The city has installed a new playground, resurfaced the tennis courts, and rerouted the walking trail. Newly planted trees will provide additional shade during the summer months.
